At Shelton Family Eye Care, you’re not just a patient — you’re a neighbor. We started this practice because we believe everyone in our community deserves eye care that’s personal, thorough, and genuinely caring.
From the moment you walk in, our goal is simple: make you feel at ease, take great care of your vision, and send you home with a smile.
Who we serve
Trusted across Mason County since 2012
Most of our patients live right here in Shelton and the surrounding communities of Belfair, Allyn, Hoodsport, Union, and Skokomish.
More recently, we’ve been welcoming patients who drive in from Aberdeen, Hoquiam, Ocean Shores, Elma, and McCleary on the Grays Harbor side, and Bremerton and Port Orchard from Kitsap County. Many tell us they were referred by a family member or friend — we don’t take that lightly.

Dr. Steven La, O.D.
Doctor of Optometry · Founder
Dr. La is the kind of doctor who takes time to actually talk with you — not at you. He founded Shelton Family Eye Care with one goal: bring outstanding, personal eye care to our community.
With training from the Illinois College of Optometry and clinical experience at the VA Palo Alto and Milauskas Eye Institute, he brings real expertise paired with genuine warmth. When he’s not in the office, you’ll find him snowboarding, kickboxing, or spending time with his family.
